It needs full sun for best flowering, but will tolerate very light shade. It grows 3 feet high and wide. Rumba Weigela, weigela florida 'Rumba', is a compact plant that is extremely showy with its bronze-purple tinged foliage and dark red flowers with yellow throat. Prune to shape after flowering. It blooms from June through September and is an excellent border plant that will provide a season full of color.
