Weigela - Tango

This moderate grower reaches 2-3 feet in height and width. Tango Weigela, weigela florida 'Tango', has both a compact, bushy habit and fantastic, purple foliage which makes this variety a must for a limited landscape. This compact weigela fits nicely into mixed shrub borders and at the back of perennial plantings. Tango Weigela performs best in full sun. Follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. For a tidy, neat appearance, shear to shape in early spring. Pussy Willow - Silver The plant prefers a sunny location and moist, well-drained soil. Reddish brown leaves mature to a dark blue green. Equally significant are the rich mahogany-red stems, which add interest to the garden in winter. The Silver Pussy Willow, Salix chaenomeloides, is a handsome shrub with large red flower buds that develop into silky pink catkins. This easy-to-grow willow has 2-1/2- to 3-inch-long catkins that emerge in early spring from dark red buds. At first silvery gray, the catkins take on a pink cast as they age.
