White Mulberry
It is a widely grown fruit which can be eaten fresh, preserved, vinified or, in some semi-arid areas, dried for winter use. Mulberries thrive over a very wide range of warm temperate, sub-tropical and tropical conditions. Mulberries thrive in full sun and dislike crowded conditions; they prefer deep soils and need good drainage; they are frost resistant. The White Mulberry tree, Morus Alba Tatarica, has many common names, such as, White mulberry, Russian mulberry, Silkworm mulberry, and Moral blanco. Princeton Sentry Ginkgo It is tolerant of a wide range of soil conditions, including both alkaline and acidic soils and compacted soils. Also tolerant of saline conditions, air pollution and heat. This pest free, dense, fat columnar tree is a great street tree where there is limited overhead space. They prefer moist, sandy, well-drained soils. No smelly fruits with this Gingko cultivar. The fall color is brilliant yellow. Today the tree is often planted in cities because of its remarkable resistance to urban smog and to insect pests. The Princeton Sentry Ginkgo, 'Ginkgo biloba "Princeton Sentry", is a male cultivar (which are "fruitless").
