Yarrow - Coronation Gold
‘Coronation Gold’ has good texture and form and looks great in mass plantings and cottage gardens. The foliage has a somewhat strong, spicy aroma, which persists when used in dried arrangements. With fern-like aromatic, silvery to gray-green foliage, it is considered to be one of the best yarrows in any landscape. The flower heads are 3-4” wide, with a spread of 18-24” and a height of 42”. This Yarrow does well in average garden soils, but prefers lean, dry to medium wet, well-drained soil. The Yarrow, ‘Coronation Gold’ , Achillea ageratifolia, is an upright golden-yellow flowered Yarrow that blooms from June through September, providing excellent color throughout the summer months. (Avoid heavy clays and moist, rich, fertile soils. Remove faded flowers to encourage more growth and divide every 3-4 years. ) Yarrow should be planted in full sun and is tolerant to hot humid summers. For an attraction to butterflies, deer and rabbit resistant, one can’t go wrong with this plant. ... additional information
