Yarrow - Summer Pastel

‘Summer Pastel’ Yarrow was an All America Selections winner in 1990, and truly one of the most exciting varieties to be added to the Yarrow family. For an attraction to butterflies, deer and rabbit resistant, one can’t go wrong with this plant. Remove faded flowers to encourage more growth and divide every 3-4 years. ) Yarrow should be planted in full sun and is tolerant to hot humid summers. (Avoid heavy clays and moist, rich, fertile soils. The flower colors range from pink, rose, orange-red, purple, gray, salmon and mauve. The flower heads are 3-4” wide, with a spread of 18-24” and a height of 24”. 'Summer Pastel' Yarrows make a great addition to any perennial garden, for mass plantings, borders, naturalized settings and cottage gardens. The Yarrow ‘Summer Pastel’, Achillea sibirica, is an upright wide range of pastel flowers that blooms from June through September. Mullein - Jackie The Verbascum Jackie, 'Verbascum hybridum', also known as Mullein, a Proven Winners selection, has masses of copper colored buds which open to pale cantaloupe blooms with pink overtones. ‘Jackie’ has a plant height of 16-18” and a plant spread of 1-2’ and blooms from late spring into summer. Removing spent flowers to encourage additional bloom time. This low maintenance perennial requires dry to medium soil and should be planted in full sun for best results. ‘Jackie’ can be planted in rocky slopes to add color, as a border plant or in cottage gardens.
