Yucca - Color Guard

The creamy, bell-shaped, white flowers hover over the foliage and are fragrant. ‘Color Gard’ has a plant height of 24” and a spread of 36”. The red coloration on the long blades highlight the flowering crown. ‘Color Gard’ looks great in a subject garden or in containers and is also a butterfly attractor. The Adam's Needle, 'Yucca filamentosa ‘Color Gard’, is a clump forming perennial with yellow strips down the middle of the dark green foliage, looking ribbon-like. Dwarf Fleece Flower - Dimity Sun will make the foliage look its best. The superb green leaves turn red bronze in the fall and the pink flower spikes appear from summer into autumn. ‘Dimity’ should be planted in a full sun area but can tolerate some afternoon shade. The Mountain Fleece Dimity, 'Persicaria affinis', a Blooms of Bressingham plant, is a wonderful variety in the Persicaria family. ‘Dimity’ will look great in any perennial garden, in mixed container, woodland edge or near ponds and streams. The foliage forms a shiny carpet that should not be missed. ‘Dimity’ has a plant height of 6” and a spread of 18-23”. It does need a well-drained area, making sure it is not over watered.
